
As the rescue operation for the SLBC tunnel collapse enters its fifth day, Telangana's irrigation minister has stated that the government is working towards rescuing the eight trapped workers at "greater speed".
Meanwhile, to help make progress in the rescue effort, sniffer dogs have been deployed at the site.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference earlier today, Telangana's Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy stated that the government will be working to complete the rescue operation in the coming few days.
"We will be going with greater speed to save the survivors and for all rescue and relief operations. We will finish everything in two days. Based on field inspection yesterday and today, we have taken a decision. We are going ahead with it now. To mitigate the risk, we are taking some other precautions and going forward. We are also exploring access from the side. We are also going to the main exit. Sniffer Dogs Deployed To Locate Trapped Workers
As the rescue missions continue, sniffer dogs have been deployed at the site to help locate the trapped workers.
As per a PTI report, District Collector B Santhosh said that rescuers are planning to use sniffer dogs to locate the eight trapped workers inside the tunnel.
Since the day of the collapse, no communication has been able to reach the trapped workerstop995, raising concerns about their conditions.
